Assmang Limited is a company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa to supply raw material to the world's steel mills and alloy plants. 

It was originally listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange as The Associated Manganese Mines of South Africa Limited, but changed its name to Assmang Limited on 30 May 2001. Assmang, jointly controlled by Assore Limited and Anglovaal Mining Limited, currently has three operating divisions based on its three commodities, chrome, manganese and iron ore. Although each division operates independently, together they strive to achieve optimum efficiencies.

Wonderstone Ltd is 100% owned by  Assore Ltd and has been mining a uniquely pure Pyrophyllite deposit 300 kilometers west of Johannesburg since 1937. It enjoys a special position in the ceramic field in that the diamond synthesis industry has utilized the properties of excellent thermal and electrical insulation, thermal shock resistance and high compressive strength in the process of manufacturing synthetic diamonds for over 50 years.
