CHANGE TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In compliance with Rule 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, Assore announces that Mr Cyril Ramaphosa has been appointed as a non-executive director of Assore with effect from Wednesday 12 July 2006 and Mr Rowan Smith as his alternate. Mr Ramaphosa is Chairman and controlling shareholder of the Shanduka Group, which, through its subsidiary Shanduka Resources (Proprietary) Limited, owns 11.76% of Assore. Mr Smith is the Managing Director of Shanduka Resources (Proprietary) Limited.
